I relish the simple pleasure of watching surfers fly through the icy water with such grace.  I never get tired of gazing at their magical moves as they glide and soar under the smooth white waves.

I am drawn to the water, the ocean is so massive, and the horizon seems so far.  I often spend hours walking along the coast watching the pelicans fly in formation.  It is a gift to watch a spectacular sunset.  I put on a jacket and wait for the moon to appear over the dark water when the chilly air and fog starts to roll in.

Alligator lizards do not typically bask in the sun out in the open, they seem to prefer sunny spots with some cover.  They are active during the day and nocturnal during hot weather.  They move with a snake-like undulating motion.
