Category: Sailing with BAADS
BAADS was joined by America’s Cup ORACLE TEAM USA members Brian McInnes and Sam Newton with Elizabeth Walsh for a friendly regatta in McCovey Cove as the designated regatta course. The regatta incorporated US Sailing race policies and racing skills, demonstrating sailing as an “inclusive” sport.
BAADS sailors are accomplished competitors in both national and international regattas. They sail Access Liberty and Access 303 boats.

The Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors enjoyed an evening with the Foster City Lions Club. President Mary True introduced BAADS who spoke about disabled sailing.
The Foster City Lions Club offers a place for volunteers to gather with a friendly, warm fellowship. Their goal is to make our community a better place to live through personal involvement. They encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward. The group has an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.
Martha Sandy and her entire group welcomed the Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors. BAADS invited the Foster City Lions Club to join in and get involved at their exciting upcoming events in San Francisco.
