The Contemporary Crafts Market was held at the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion in San Francisco last Saturday and Sunday.
Supporting Independent Artists and Craftspeople, the Contemporary Crafts Market offered jury-selected pieces at the west coast’s premiere event for one-of-a-kind functional and decorative crafts. The market featured the distinctive works of over 200 of the nation’s finest artists and craftspeople, ranging from intricate jewelry, unique glassware and ceramics to hand-painted textiles, custom furniture, mixed-media creations and much more.
The market displayed an eclectic mix of designs with an ecological consciousness, using transformed materials that were colorful, beautiful, and earth friendly. Many jewelry pieces were fabricated from recycled sterling and fine silver and bezel set vintage glass.
Year after year, the market brings together artisans, while also allowing visitors to meet the artists behind some of the nation’s finest crafts.
